In the 21st century we live in an economy, moderately unhindered by the legislature, an arrangement called â€Å"lassier faire† which permits the market to run without the government’s control. In spite of the fact that there is a sure imperceptible hand that the administration gangs to guarantee that restraining infrastructures, or any of the destructive organizations are being worked to guarantee security for the normal resident. â€Å"Napster† established by Shawn Flanning is a site which can be joined on any home PC with access to the web, where there after can exchange and download practically any tune that individual wants. Financial Basics How to Use Credit Responsibly

Financial Basics How to Use Credit Responsibly Financial Basics: How to Use Credit Responsibly Financial Basics: How to Use Credit ResponsiblyTo help celebrate  National Financial Literacy Month, were getting back to basics: If you want to use credit responsibly, you should start by focusing on the right kinds of debt.If you want to get credit, you have to show that you can use credit. And specifically, you have to show that you can use credit responsibly. That means you’ll have to figure out how to get some credit in the first place. And you’ll want that credit to be good credit. And then you’ll also need to know how to use that good credit properly.Phew! Someone should gather all of that information relevant to proper credit use and stuff it into one easy-to-read article!Guess what? They did. And the “they” is “us. And you’re reading that article right now!How to get credit when you have none. This topic deserves an entire article of its own. Which is why we gave it one. But we’ll still address it briefly here. Two of the best ways to start building credit are t o either get a secured credit card or become an authorized user on someone else’s card. A secured credit card requires cash collateral, but you’ll be able to get one even if you don’t have a good credit score or any credit at all.Becoming an authorized user on someone else’s card will allow you to start building your credit off of theirs. You could also mess up their credit, however, so be sure to take it seriously. Now let’s get into good and bad debt.Try to focus on good debt. This is the credit you want. The credit or debt that, if used properly, will bring your credit score up.“Potentially good credit involves no fees or interest,” explained Todd Christensen, education manager for  Money Fit by DRS, Inc. (@MoneyFitbyDRS). “It has a positive impact on your credit rating but does not lead to overspending. Good credit also leads to growth in your net worth. Good credit is directly tied to potentially beneficial debts, such as a mortgage or a business loan.”Certified financial educator Maggie Germano (@MaggieGermano)  provided some additional markers of what makes debt good: “Good debt is considered an investment that will typically grow in value or generate income over time. Good debt also tends to have low interest rates. An example is student debt. The idea is that this debt will eventually result in higher income over the course of your life.”And do your best to avoid bad debt.  And now for the credit and debt you want to keep away from. Unsurprisingly, it pretty much has all the opposite qualities of good credit.“Bad debt is any debt that is taken out to pay for things that lose value over time and don’t result in higher income,” clarified Germano. “This type of debt also usually comes with high interest rates. Basically, you end up paying more than the cost of the original purchase. An example is credit card debt. If you keep a balance on your credit cards, the interest grows and makes it difficult to pay off the amount. You c an get caught in a cycle that feels like it will never end.”And Christensen offered his take as well: “Bad credit involves fees and interest. It does nothing to improve your household finances, or it leads to smaller net worth.”Additionally, and while this may seem obvious, good credit instantly becomes bad credit once you take out more than you’re able to pay back.“With most credit accounts, whether they are good or bad depends on each situation, and most often when the debt is bad, it’s because the individual borrowed too much for the start,” advised  Jacob Sensiba, financial advisor with CRG Financial Services (@CRGFS).“The amount you spend on total housing should be less than one-third of your take-home monthly pay. You can get a decent, reliable car anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000. Nobody needs to spend over $20,000 for a car.“Before you even start borrowing, it’s important to evaluate your credit health/score. If it’s below average, you should take the n ecessary steps in boosting it before borrowing money. People with healthy credit scores tend to get better interest rates and loan terms than those with poor credit.”Here are some tips for using credit responsibly. So you’ve got that good credit. But now that you have it, what do you do with it? How do you use it properly?“Only charge what you can afford to pay back in full every month,” urged Mike Pearson, founder of personal finance website  Credit Takeoff. “The number one factor that goes into calculating your credit score is your payment history. Basically, if you miss even one payment, it will seriously lower your credit score. So if you plan on using credit, you need to make sure that youre only spending what you can actually affordâ€"because if you charge too much and end up missing a payment, it will hurt your credit score.“Keep your credit utilization under 35 percent. The #2 factor that goes into determining your credit score is something called your ‘credit ut ilization.’ This simply means the amount of credit youre using compared to your total credit limit.  For example, say you have a $10,000 credit limit on your credit card. Youd want to keep your balances below $3,500 (35 percent) at any given time so you dont damage your credit score.”Another way to improve your credit utilization is by gaining a greater line of credit.“Call current creditors and ask if they will increase your credit line,” suggested real estate broker, loan broker, and credit consultant Julie Marie McDonough (@juliemarie0711) “Example: current credit limit on a credit card of $1,000 with a $900 balance is using 90 percent of the credit line. The amount owed or utilization ratio can be reduced to 45 percent of the credit line just by increasing the credit limit from $1,000 to $2,000.Now you owe the same $900, but with the credit limit increased to $2,000 you are only using 45 percent of the credit limit. Thus increasing your credit score up to 30 percent in 30-90 days. The hard part is not charging more on the credit card. Have a little self-discipline and know you have just created a sort of emergency fund if needed.“Dont make things worse, just one ‘30 day late’ will stay on your credit for up to seven years. If you cant pay on time, pay the minimum monthly payment as soon as possible, but make sure the payment is posted on the 29th day after the due date. You will owe a late fee in the following month, but that is still better than a bad mark on your credit for seven years and the decrease in credit score.”Building good credit habits is the hardest part. But eventually, it’ll be like second nature to you. May you and your credit soar! Essay on Raphael Sanzios Life and Accomplishments

Raffaello Sanzio was an amazing artist from the late 1400’s to the early 1500’s, who created many amazing paintings that helped change the style of medieval art to Renaissance art. Without him, the style of art now would most likely be more primitive and not as advanced as it should be. This is because he made many advances including more realistic painting. His most important paintings include â€Å"The School Of Athens†, the â€Å"Sistine Madonna†, and the â€Å"Marriage of the Virgin†. Not only are those some of his most famous paintings, they also show the realisticness that changed the world. Raffaello Sanzio had a very interesting young life. He was born in Urbino, which at the time was a cultural center that encouraged the arts. The arts†¦show more content†¦He was his apprentice at the town of Perugia. Since Perugino was a master painter this greatly influenced Raphael’s young life and encouraged him to become an artist. Raphael, before exiting apprenticeship, made a few amazing paintings. These include the Mond Crucifixion, The Three Graces, The Knight’s Dream, and The Marriage of the Virgin, which I will mention later. Raphael made many very detailed paintings. My choices for his most contributing paintings are The School of Athens, The Sistine Madonna, and The Marriage of The Virgin. They were just a few of the many amazing paintings that Raphael has painted. The School of Athens was possibly Raphael’s most popular painting. It shows representations of many mathematicians, philosophers, and scientists of the Renaissance. The two people walking down the middle of the hall are Aristotle and Plato who were very important contributors to the way of western thinking, and in different ways, their philosophies were incorporated into Christianity. Plato is holding the book called The Timaeus. Plato points up because in his philosophy the changing world that we see around us is just a shadow of a higher, truer reality that is eternal and unchanging (and include things like goodness and beauty). Aristotle holds his hand down, because in his philosophy, the only reality is the reality that we can see and

Create an annotated reference list b. Mark the annotated reference list Workshop Discussion 1: Annotated Reference Lists Annotated reference listsAs with a normal reference list or bibliography, an annotated reference list is usually arranged alphabetically according to the author’s last name, however, the reference list for the Researching assessment task is organised by genre and the annotation should be about 60 words per citation. Each entry begins with the bibliographic details of the resource (the citation), followed by a brief annotation summarising the appropriate conten t and identifying relevant information, data and arguments and stating how it will be used to address the assessment question.Referencing Referencing within the context of academic writing performs two distinct purposes. Firstly, it provides an acknowledgement (the combination of an in-text citation within the body of the essay or report and an entry in the ‘References’ section of the essay or report) that the information source or work was used by the writer in creating their own piece of academic writing or work. Secondly, it allows another person who is reading this writer’s work to easily find this particular information source. With regard to the second purpose, although the formats of references change for different information sources, there are usually common features as well, such as: Author(s) surname(s) and initials Year that the work was published The title of the work The publisher or title of the publication These common features can be identified in the book example shown below: Title of book in minimal capitalisation Title of book in minimal capitalisation Place (city) of publication Place (city) of publication Year of publication Year of publication Publisher PublisherAuthors’ surnames and initials Authors’ surnames and initials Shearman, D amp; Sauer-Thompson, G 1997, Green or gone, Wakefield Press, Kent Town. Place (city) of publication Place (city) of publication References must be listed alphabetically by the first author’s surname under the Harvard UWS system of referencing. The reference list should not use numbers, letters or bullet points at the beginning of each entry. Summaries A summary is a short and concise representation of main points, ideas, concepts, facts or statements. When summarising you should not alter the authors original idea(s) or the degree of certainty with which the ideas are expressed. To write a good summary, you should read the text a number of times to develop a clear understanding of the authors ideas and intentions, the meaning and details and the force with which the ideas are expressed. To write a summary: 1. Write notes in point form using specialised words as this will make it easier to express the ideas in your own words. Specialised words is what the text is actually about and need to be included in your summary, as without these words, the meaning of the summary will change completely. 2.Write the summary directly from your notes without re-reading the passage. 3. Refer back to the original source to ensure that your summary is a true reflection of the writers ideas. When summarising a chapter or article, the introduction and conclusi on should provide a good overview of the content as well as the topic sentences which provide a quick outline of the main idea(s) presented in each paragraph. Brief annotations When writing a brief summary for an annotation, only the information relevant to the topic or assessment task should be included. That is, if the assessment task limits your investigation to the past ten years but your article covers a 50 year span, then your summary should focus on the past ten years. Identifying specific information relevant to the assessment task is also important. Therefore, refer back to your question analysis and mind map to create links between the summary information and how the data will be used to address the assessment. Note:Do not forget to record the bibliographical details (reference) and page number(s) so that you can refer back to the information at a later date. Photosynthesis Essays

Photosynthesis Essays Photosynthesis Essay Photosynthesis Essay Essay Topic: Synthesis Photosynthesis is the combination of sugar from light, carbon dioxide and water with oxygen being a waste product. This process is possibly the most important biochemical path known. Nearly everything in our everyday lives depends on this process, we would not be alive right now if it werent for this cycle, this is due to the fact that us humans breath in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide, with plants it is the opposite; they take in carbon dioxide and take out oxygen, which we breathe in making it extremely important for us to have plants in order to respire. The process of photosynthesis is a very complex process. Here is a picture of an ordinary leaf. The leaf plays a major part in the process of photosynthesis, as it takes in the light which is later on made to glucosePhotosynthesis uses the energy of light to make glucose which keeps the plant alive. Just like we eat food to keep us alive and healthy, plants use the energy of the sun and water in order to stay alive and healthy. Plants use the energy of light to make glucose to stay alive. Below is the general equation for the process of photosynthesis:6 CO2 + 6 H2O + light à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½ C6H12O6 + 6 O2Carbon Dioxide + Water + Light energy à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½ Glucose + OxygenThe rate of photosynthesis depends on four factors: carbon dioxide, light intensity, chlorophyll and water (or other photosynthetic pigments). In order to find out the importance of these factors for photosynthesis, some experiments are carried out.Aim: My main purpose or aim of this coursework is to find out whether photosynthesis relies on all factors or whether the process can function without the use of sunlight or carbon dioxide or water etc.Factors that may affect photosynthesisThere are five main factors that may affect the rate of photosynthesis they are:1. Light intensity2. Co2 concentration3. Effect of chlorophyll4. The effect of temperature (main chosen coursework factor)The experiments and how to undergo th em1. Light IntensityThe aim of this experiment is to find out whether or not the intensity of light would affect the rate of photosynthesis in a plant. To do this, I used a piece of foil which had a triangular shape in the middle of it and masked it on a plant where their was an exposed region and a shaded region..After three hours the leaf was picked, observed and tested with iodine solution, following is the result..ResultWe can clearly see that the masked area has turned brown whilst the unmasked area has turned dark blue.EvaluationThe masked part had given us a negative result to the iodine test which proves that there is no photosynthesis occurring if their is no light. Starch is available in the exposed region. This proves to us that photosynthesis can be carried out in the presence of light.ConclusionDuring this experiment we have concluded that photosynthesis almost mainly depends on the presence of light. If there is no light resource available photosynthesis will not occur forcing the plant to die.2. Carbon dioxide concentrationThe aim or purpose of this experiment is to prove that photosynthesis cannot function without carbon dioxide. The experiment will be as follows..Two pots of the same type of plants are prepared inside plastic bags, both are kept in the same temperature with the same light intensity, the only difference is that soda lime has been added to plant A whilst there is no soda lime in plant B.Plant APlant BAfter three hours, the leaves where picked up, observed and tested with iodine solution. Below are the results..Plant APlant BResultPlant A remains brown whilst plant b has turned to dark blue.EvaluationIn plant A the soda lime has absorbed most of the carbon dioxide. In the absence of carbon dioxide the iodine test is negative. Starch is not produced throughout the experiment which proves that photosynthesis cannot take place without carbon dioxide. This means that carbon dioxide is one of the factors that are needed for photosynth esis. However in plant b, carbon dioxide is present in the plastic bag. The plant can produce starch which the iodine test has proved to us as it scored a positive score.3. Effect of ChlorophyllMy aim here is to find out whether chlorophyll affects the rate of photosynthesis or not. To do this I will carry out the following experiment.A pot of variegated plant is destarched by putting into a dark environment for one to two days before the experiment. A variegated leaf is used for testing because part of the leaf contains chlorophyll (or other photosynthetic pigments) while the rest does not. One of the variegated leaves is selected and exposed to light. After three hours the leaf is picked up, observed and tested with iodine solution, the result is shown in the following diagram.ResultThe non-green region of the leaf has remained brown, whilst the green region of the leaf has turned dark blue.EvaluationStarch is present in the green region. This proves that photosynthesis can be carr ied out in the presence of chlorophyll. While the non-green region gives a negative result to the iodine test. This experiment has proved to us that chlorophyll does affect the rate of photosynthesis.4. The effect of temperatureThis is my main chosen point of interest throughout the coursework.AimOur main aim is to find out whether temperature affects the rate of photosynthesis in a Canadian pondweed (this is a picture of Canadian pondweed).ApparatusTo undergo the experiment we needed the following items and apparatus:1. Sprigs of pondweed2. Boiling tubes filled with water3. Lamp4. Thermometer5. Ice6. Supply of constant hot water7. Tissues8. Ruler9. Beaker10. Bubble counter11. Scissors12. Tweezers13. TimerSafetyAlthough this experiment may seem harmless we must take full precautions at all times to avoid any injury possible, below are some things we should bare in mind whilst performing the experiment to avoid serious damage or injury:* Hot water can cause serious injury therefore w e must be very wary and attentive to where we pour it.* Scissors can also cause injury hence we should only stick to the task of cutting the pond weed not your partners hair.* The lamp is supplied by electricity and we are dealing with water in this experiment, splashing water around could cause an electric shock.Following these safety tips will lead to a happy learning injury free environment.PredictionAccording to my knowledge and understanding of this experiment I strongly believe that temperature affects the rate of photosynthesis.I also predict that 30à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½C should be the best temperature for the pondweed to photosynthesize, this is because I believe that this temperature is neither to hot nor too cold for the pondweed, hence it produces more bubbles, which represent oxygen.ResultsTemp. à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½CExperiment 1Experiment 2Experiment 3Average125845.6672018161516.333034363836401491111.33501000.333AnalysisAccording to our results in we can clearly see that 30à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½C is the best temperature for photosynthesis to take place. We know this because out of all the other four temperatures, 30à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½C is the most temperature that has produced the most bubbles. This is due to the fact that this temperature is neither too hot nor too cold it is the ideal temperature for photosynthesis to take place. Both 20à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½C and 40à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½C half produced approximately half the bubbles that 30à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½C has produced, both temperatures have produced a decent number of bubbles but both are not as effective as 30à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½C this is because 20à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½C is slightly cold which makes it more difficult for the pondweed to produce bubbles. 40à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½C was not as effective as 30à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½C because the temperature 40à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½C is somewhat hot and is not ideal for photosynthesis to take place in as the results have proven. The results have proven that 12à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½C is a temperature that negatively affects the rate of photosynthesis. It has been proven in the results to have released a low amount of bubbles during all 3 experiments; this is because this temperature is very low, too low for the pondweed to produce bubbles because it is too cold it may even die because of the cold temperature. We can clearly see from the result that out of all the five different temperatures 50à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½C was the least temperature to produce bubbles. This is because this temperature is very hot, too hot for the pondweed to produce bubbles. These temperatures may be to hot for the pondweed to take, resulting in the pondweed dyeing hence it produces little or no bubbles.ConclusionAfter analyzing, looking and observing our results we have concluded that 30à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½C is the best temperature for photosynthesis to take place in plants. This is because this temperature is not too hot nor too cold for the plant to photosynthesize. We have also concluded that temperature does affect the rate of photosynthesis in a plant. As we have tested the rate of photosynthesis at different temperatures and have come to realize that it plays an impact on the rate of photosynthesis which is represented in bubbles in this experiment.VariablesThere are some factors we must keep the same during the experiment to make it as fair as possible in order to get fair and accurate results, these factors are:* Type of plant (we have used pondweed throughout the test).* Volume of water.* Lamp distance (the lamp was always 30cm away).* All the experiments must be timed (5 minutes per experiment).Whilst there are factors we must change as part of the experiment to make it as fair as possible, they are:* Surrounding temperature.* Change the weed from the last experiment.** You may think this factor is weird, but it is vital to change the pondweed in every experiment, this is just incase your pondweed has died because the last or present temperature is too hot or too cold. Therefore it is advised that you change the pondweed in every experiment.MethodThe method we used in order to undergo the experiment was basic and straight forward. We placed a standard pondweed in a testube filled with water, after diagonally cutting the end part of the weed in order to score sufficient and fair results. We placed this testube inside a beaker; this beaker was filled with water which varied in temperature according to what temperature we needed. We placed a lamp 30cm away from the plant, and after ensuring we had used the right temperature of water by using a thermometer, we began the timer and began to look closely for bubbles. After a period of five minutes we stopped counting the bubbles, the results are available in the results section of the coursework. Here is a diagram of the experiment..EvaluationI believe the experiment went well just as planned and worked out very well. I am confident about this because the results I got where the pretty much the same as the professional scientific results.I also believe that my results where accurate eno ugh to prove that my prediction was correct. As I predicted that 30à ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½C would be the most suitable temperature for photosynthesis to take place. We can see that this prediction is correct by looking at the graph. The method I used in order to carry out the experiment in my opinion was as fair as possible. I changed the pondweed every time in order to get a fair result, I also used the same volume of water each time to make sure that it does not effect the rate of bubbles released. If I had the opportunity to repeat the experiment I would try to measure the rate of photosynthesis at more temperatures, this would give me a clearer result and will indicate to me perfectly which temperature is most suitable for the most amount of bubbles given of from the Elodea.

Should some of the possessory type drug offenses that are now Essay

Should some of the possessory type drug offenses that are now prosecuted such as marijuana cocaine and heroin be repealed and instead become legalized regulated and taxed - Essay Example The following paragraphs will present one’s justifications for believing that now is the time to make the necessary changes with regards to the policies on drugs. The first reason why one believes that the drug trade should be legalized is because its being prohibited has paved the way for huge opportunities for organized crime (Husak , par 113). Black marketers abound because the trade is not legal. It is believed that most organized crimes are funded through the sale of illicit drugs such as marijuana, cocaine and heroin (Husak , par 113). Furthermore, most of these drugs have become expensive because of their being illegal and not because of their high manufacturing cost. This being the case, most of its users commit property crimes just to be able to purchase the drugs. These crimes could be prevented if these drugs will be legalized, since it will command lower prices (Husak , par 115). Another rationale why one thinks laws against illegal drugs should be eradicated is that it has led to widespread corruption within the law enforcement agencies (Husak , par 114). Because of the huge sums of money involved in the trade of illicit drugs, several police officers have become involved in its trade. The government is losing millions because of the illegal trade of illicit drugs. One believes that if the sale of these drugs will be decriminalized, the government will benefit from the taxes that will be imposed on its trade. On the contrary, if the government continues to stop its trade, only the black marketers and the organized drug syndicates will benefit from it. Due to the prohibition of drugs like heroin or marijuana, more people become interested and curious to use it. This is what is termed as the â€Å"forbidden fruit† phenomenon (Husak , par 118). In fact, in Netherlands, once marijuana was decriminalized, the use started to decline

The acronym PEST suggests that these are all nuisance or hindrance factors to business development. The Spanish Armada Essay -- Invincible Armada

The Spanish Armada also called the Invincible Armada, and more correctly La Armada Grande. It was a fleet intended to invade England and to put an end to the English aggression against the Spanish Crown. However it was a fatal mistake and after a week’s fighting the Spanish Armada was shattered, this led to the gradual decline in maritime power of Spain. Spanish powers dominated and influence much of the â€Å"known world† during the 16th Century. Spanish leader King Phillip II had reasons to eliminate their arch-rival England. His reasons were to convert the Protestants in England to the Church of Rome and to eliminate one of the major sea-fearing rivals for economic wealth. In 1587, Francis Drake cruised off the coast of Spain and under Elizabeth's wishes; Francis Drake attacked the Spanish shipping, burnt the half-finished and unmanned ships at Cadiz, and did enormous damage to the Spanish navy. King Philip II at last convinced that Spain must invade England in order to dominate the region. But his inefficiency as an organizer was never more evident. Slow, inactive, and not only ignorant of the secret of sea power, but also unwilling to admit that there was any need for advice and direction in sea warfare. He wasted months on making plans of campaign while the building and refitting of the fleet was neglected. Even though the Spaniards of that day were reputed the best soldiers in the world, but in naval maneuvers and in the use of heavy artillery they were very far behind...

According to Aristotle Essay

Laertes verbose and theatrical behaviour causes the audience to dislike him. Nevertheless, unlike Hamlet he is willing to seize revenge at the first opportunity. There are many different perspectives on how Shakespeare addresses the theme of revenge in Hamlet, and also whether it is done successfully. One criticism made by Catherine Belsey, undermines Shakespeare’s approach, as she believed the â€Å"secular injustice is not resolved†. I only agree with the statement to a certain extent, because although Hamlet puts it off and Claudius’ death isn’t planned by him – he does force Claudius to drink the poison, causing his death. If the injustice did remain unresolved, which I don’t believe it did, then that would support the criticism made by T. S Eliot that ‘Hamlet as a revenge tragedy play itself, is a failure’. In my opinion this accusation cannot be sustained as aside from the long wait, Shakespeare does manage to keep revenge the core theme throughout. According to Aristotle; an effective tragic hero is a protagonist who â€Å"†¦ is able to evoke both our pity and terror and is not thoroughly good or thoroughly bad, but a mixture of both†. I think Shakespeare is therefore successful as we do pity Hamlet because he does want to kill Claudius but his orthodox Christianity and strict moral codes acts as a barrier – his tragic flaw is procrastination. We are also scared of his ‘bad’ side which is when he kills Polonius, attacks his mother and rejects Ophelia. Shakespeare uses a number of antitheses; evil vs. good, life vs. death, secular vs. religion and so on and the audience is left to decide which successes over the other. I think Shakespeare constructs Hamlet’s character so that the audience could become him, it is natural for us to question ourselves when faced with a dilemma as imperative as his. We understand his procrastination, but on the other hand his character does raise many questions that remain unresolved even by the end of the play. For example, we question whether his love for his mother and jealousy of Claudius is simply an Oedipus complex – especially as scenes in the film and stage directions of his actions are ambiguous causing us to be unsure of what he’s actually doing to her. Overall, an audience of any century, can relate to him and he becomes a believable psychologically developed character, unlike the others who seem to me to be caricatures and representatives of certain types of people. The Effects Of Pregnancy On Your House - 997 Words

By week 36 you may want to clean your house and make sure that it is spic and span, awaiting your little one. This phase of pregnancy is called the ‘nesting stage,’ which is nature’s way of making sure you have time to be with your baby after delivery with no household chores holding you back. While it is a natural tendency to want everything done, don’t go overboard. Remember that you are in your third trimester and need to take it easy. Changes happening to your body in week 36 Thanks to the nesting instincts in you, all the exhaustion of the third trimester gets replaced completely by a renewed sense of vigor. Here are the major physical changes happening to you in week 36: Getting into a comfortable sleeping position becomes harder by the day. With only two sides to switch between, you may find that your hips are aching from the pressure. Try cushy, comfortable pillows or a padded blanket around and underneath you. They will cushion your hips, relieve the ache and help you fall asleep faster. Most babies get into a head down position by now. When they do, you might discover that the bathroom becomes your home. Do not reduce your water intake in the hopes of making fewer bathroom trips. Try reducing the caffeine intake as coffee and tea are known to be diuretics. Walking might get difficult if your baby moves into a cephalic presentation or head down position. It feels like your baby will fall out if you move. California Dream Act Essay - 1663 Words

Reyna Macias English 103 7 November 2011 California Dream Act: Rewarding an Illegal Act Born and raised here in the U.S. many students, and parents for that matter, are currently struggling with the bills, loans, and the stress of trying to stabilize a healthy future for themselves by pursuing an education. When a law like the California Dream Act is passed, it makes those who have done nothing but follow the rules of our legal system, feel as if the right as a legal citizen is being pushed aside. The money to fund the education of these illegal immigrants has to come from somewhere, causing a bigger whole to burn in tax payer’s pocket; when the money can easily go elsewhere to legal students in dire need of it. The state of†¦show more content†¦By merit, American’s should not have to worry about whether there will be enough spaces available in colleges, none the less should they have to worry about those spaces been taken up by students who have come to this country illegally. It goes against the constitution of the United States to diminish the opportunities for American students, by granting schooling to an undocumented immigrant. Enrollment within colleges will soon rapidly expand, and seeing as there is already low funding within school budgets, the money will need to come from somewhere. This is where tax payers come in, along with higher tuitions for students. American students that are not aided with the cost of classes and living expenses are going to be drastically affected, perhaps even to the point of dropping out. Over the years tuition has â€Å"Risen 6.5 percent from the previous year. These figures do not include room and board costs, which can cost as high as $1,700 a month at some schools† (Salary.com). Tuition is getting difficult for students to pay every year especially with the economic crisis the state of California is currently in.
